Mobile Birder Features:

• Comes with a built in database of birds, which is editable by user.
• Taxonomy is automatically created when a bird is entered.
• Most input is through menu boxes, where you select from a list, these lists are definable by the user.
• Allows inputting by area, for example Tetrad
• Features an ‘Info’ button which automatically connects the user to details, description and distribution of the bird they are entering. (Requires Internet connectivity).
• An image can be added to every bird record, the image can be manipulated to display correctly. The image can also be enlarged to full screen for viewing.
• A Search for image button, automatically searches for an image to represent the bird being entered. (Requires Internet connectivity).
• The records can be locked to prevent accidental changes to the database.
• ‘Birding Mode’ allows a birding trip to be set up in advance, then whilst bird watching, all the user needs to enter is the birds name and any notes, all other information is automatically copied to the record. A ‘current’ list lets the user see all the birds sighted on that trip. The screen can be locked in-between entries to prevent accidental changes.
• ‘List View’ shows all you records as a list, which can be filtered by:  Location, Notes, Personal First, Tetrad/Location ID, Bird, Date, or Order (taxonomy).
• ‘List View’ can be sorted by: Bird, Location, Order (Taxonomy), and Tetrad/Location ID.
• ‘List View’ height and width of the rows can be altered to user preference.
• ‘Life List’ shows all the birds you have recorded along with Taxonomy and identification confidence.
• The database can be backed up with one click, the backup is held in a self-contained file which can be copied anywhere.
• The database can be re-installed from a backup in the event of data loss.
• Records can be exported to a CSV file for use in EXCEL or other database software. The next version of Bird Tick List will synchronise with Mobile Birder.
